Constructor tradition
LUIS PARÉS is the result of a long family building tradition that started at the end of the 19th century in the Barcelona town of Sant Boi de Llobregat. The construction activity began in what was then called the “mestre d’obres”, professionals who incorporated the applied arts of Modernism to ennoble the buildings. Over time, work was carried out for clients and architects, some of whom became world-renowned, such as Gaudí, and on such emblematic works as the Colonia Güell in Santa Coloma de Cervelló. It was constituted as a trading company in January 1972, although already in the 1930s it acted as an individual company in the name of Alejo Parés Carbonell and then, since 1956, in the name of Luis Parés Mestres.
